A group in Germany is calling for employees to leak the recipe for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Pfizer has refused to waive the patent for its vaccine. This means that it is the only company with the exclusive right to manufacture it, which will limit the number of available doses.

There’s already no reason for intellectual property to exist, and there’s even less of a reason to let IP make companies rich and fuck over other people in the middle of a pandemic that has killed over two million people worldwide.

Wealthier countries have ordered more doses of the top vaccine candidates than are currently available, meaning that low-income countries will likely have to wait until 2023-2024 for their populations to get vaccines, which in turn means that infections and deaths in those countries will continue to rise.
